Day 11 (Barcelona to Girona to Figora): November 13, 2016

Day  11 (Barcelona to Girona to Figoro):
Woke up at 7:30 and met Jeffrey and Hannah downstairs for breakfast at 8:15 AM.  When we finished up breakfast, we came back up to the lobby and met our driver and tour guide at 9:00 AM.  It was about an 1 1/4 hours to drive to our first stop, Girona.  Our first stop in Girona was El Cul de la Lleona, which is a sculpture located in the Cathedral square where you kiss the back of the body of a lioness to obtain good luck.

There was some type of kid's parade going on where they were walking around the city and playing music.

We walked around all day and saw many interesting sites. The weather was a little erratic so it rained on and off during the day.

After a few hours we stopped in the city square and had a nice lunch.  I had Cuttlefish (similar to octopus) and a beer.  The restaurant had a very interesting beer tap as you can see below.

After lunch we met back up with the tour guide who drove us to Figoro.  The only main attraction in Figoro is the Dali Museum.  We spent a couple of hours walking around the museum checking out all of the odd Dali art and then drove back and returned to the hotel at 6:30 PM.  We relaxed in the room and then ventured off to dinner at 8:15 PM.  We joined Colleen at a Tapas bar and had a nice meal.  For dessert, we had  Churro’s and chocolate.  After a long day, we returned back to the room at 11 PM.
